SUNDAY 18TH FEBRUARY  2108

Well Today was Round 2 of the Kamtec F2 World Series and Team Urmston Drivers Leah, Michael and Anthony took the 3 hour drive to SMF Raceway. Leah and Michael were looking to improve on there Round 1 performance and Anthony was filling in for Rob Whalley to help develop his WRD F2 Stockcar.
After the 4 rounds of qualifying Anthony Took pole in the final and set FTQ with 110 laps.
Michael qualified for the Semis and was Standing 15th after the heats.
Leah qualified 20th and missed out on semi qualifying by 2 laps.

Michael finished 7th in his semi and luckily lost his bodyshell just as the buzzer went at the end.
Leah qualified 2nd in the Grand National which also has a separate championship and with 12 cars in the race looks to be one ruff race. Leah kept her nerve and with a fabulous drive managed to finish 2nd 3 laps off the lead.
Grand final time and with a car that was being challenging all day, Anthony started from pole and lead the way from the start to take his first ever F2 national Win at his first attempt winning by an impressive 8 laps from Dave Tomlinson.
Trophies were awarded to Anthony for 1st place and Leah was awarded 2 trophies one for 3rd best Junior From Round 1 at TTT and for 2nd best Junior today at SMF.
They now travel to the next Round on the 11th March at Hathern were they look continue this impressive Form.
